Just a question to throw out there!!!

The company my brother works for had a customer the other day come in claiming to be a witch...she was mad as can be...very rude! After the workers finished with her order...she went into the restroom and pooped under the sink...and urinated all over the floor. Assuming this woman isn't crazy (which I think she is a loony)...is there any kind of spell involving poop? This doesn't sound like any of the Wiccan people I know. They are just laughing saying she's crazy too. Just wondering...it was simply to funny of a story not to try and investigate further. Let me know if anyone can dig up anything.

Yet another quick baby update

Bodhi Pierce has yet to make his big appearance. I'm starting to get worried that the longer he stays in utero...the larger he will be. I don't won't a 20 pound baby coming out of me!!! Sean thinks Bodhi is already a 10 pounder. Very likely...I've gained right at 55 pounds with this pregnancy. Anyways...I go to the Dr. on Monday (11/26) and the Dr. will either set up an afternoon inducing...or early morning time for Tuesday. He's running out of time though...his Nona Kathy arrives on Weds to see him. She's flying in all the way from NY...he better be here. As of today he is officially 1 week late. We suspect he didn't want Nona to miss too much of the early bonding time...which if that is his reasoning...it's perfectly fine that he is late. I am excited that she might make it down for his birth.

Green & Esther

Here they are! The happy couple!

Last night we all went out to dinner. Green has won over the hearts of all of us down here in SC. It's not my place to blog about their lives...but since they have left EVERYONE hanging...at least know that everything seems to be going extremely well!

Quick Update

As of Friday at 10pm...no baby...no labor pains YET! He's due Sunday...and it looks like he is going to take his own sweet time. Just like his mother he is procrastinating to the last possible moment. The ironic thing about Mr. Bodhi waiting until the last moment is the stress he is making everyone go through...except me (I'm not stressed, just overly ready). My mother seems to be the most stressed! The woman can't wait any longer to be a grandmother.

Another Week!!!! Ahhhh

I went to the Dr. half expecting to set up a time to be induced. NOPE! Probably another week! OMG! I hardly slept last night because my hips hurt so bad. I woke up at least 10 times to use the restroom. And the worst of it is that my mind wants to do all these things...but my body is in a state of constant protest!!! AHHHHH! Come on Bodhi...join the world and bring a peace that only you can bring to your mother.

Belly movement

This is kinda weird...but if you look really carefully at this video...you can watch Bodhi dancing around in the womb!

He is due to make his big showing in 7 days. And YES...I am tired of being pregnant and Sean is probably really tired of my mood swings...LOL! He has been wonderful through this whole journey. I'm mainly suffering at night now. My hips and joints hurt and I toss and turn all night long. Not to mention getting up every 20 minutes to use the little girls room.

Today my mother and I headed out around 6:30 am on a toy quest. A lot of yardsales claimed to have baby toys. We hit the jackpot on our last stop. My mother's whole SUV was packed full! I bought some books and then a lot of visual Baby Einstein kind of stuff. She bought larger items for when he is 18months or so (bball hoop, little tiks car, etc.). Maybe that's why Bodhi moved and kicked around ALL day today. He hasn't stopped! He's so excited about all his new loot. Sean took one look and freaked out exclaiming, "Where are we going to put all that?" He was okay with all the new stuff when he saw the book, I Love Daddy Because.

A tragic...emotional day

Our tabby cat, Gabby, has been under the weather for over a week now. It all started when we adopted Chanterelle from the Humane Society. She gave all our other cats an upper respiratory infection. It seemed to be hitting Gabby the worst. Novalee has just been walking around sneezing. Poor Gabby started drooling and hadn't moved or eaten/drunken for several days. I took her to the vet on Halloween and got medication for what was then diagnosed as the upper respiratory...Gabby just being hit harder than the others. Usually this kind of thing can be kicked by a Lysine treatment which is something everybody went on a week ago and then lots of rest. Today, Saturday, Gabby's condition hadn't improved. We hadn't seen her eat or drink in days...she would sit in one spot for hour starring at the floor as she foamed at the mouth. If you moved your hand in front of her...her eyes wouldn't follow. We decided to take her back to the vet for further examining. They did blood work and x-rays to determine that she has a blood parasite that not only can be deadly, but has helped in shutting down her kidneys. I'm not even going to pretend to understand all the Vet talk...but basically some blood level thing should be between 10-30...serious issues happen at 100...and Gabby's were off the chart at 230+. Obviously this had nothing to do with an upper respiratory infection like everyone assumed. Our vet recommended sending her to the emergency center to be monitored over the weekend and put on an IV drip with medicine and nutrition. We were told that if the parasite came from a flea then she would bounce back in a few days...if the parasite was from a tick...she had maybe a day or two to live. STRESS!!!
At the emergency center...the vet there was very alarmed at her condition and seemed to disagree that this was a blood parasite. He tested her immediately for Leukemia and Aids. He said that with the blood test her kidneys had already failed and it doesn't look good.
Talk about being in shock...we knew our Gabby was sick...but we expected to take her in today mainly for some IV nutrition. Right now she is being kept at the center to see if re hydration is even possible. Kidney failure isn't really fixable...she didn't test positive to Leukemia or Aids, but we were given a grave outlook. I have to call back around 8 this evening to see if there has been any change. If not, Gabby has to be put to sleep. There is no doubt about the amount of pain she is in the Dr. warned. It's all just happening too fast to take in. I feel so helpless and ignorant to what is going on. I tried to do some research online, but have come up with no explanation. Nobody can explain why her kidneys have failed and why it all happened so quickly. At least Leukemia could have shed some light on that.

Well...dammit!!

So I am new to blogging and very new to buying stuff on eBay. EBay is evil because you cannot return something if you realize it was a HUGE mistake. Sean's birthday was Halloween and I bought him an A-Rod jersey...very classy...beautiful jersey! Anybody who follows sports can quickly sympathize for me on what a tragic gift this turned out to be. (A-Rod left the Yankee's and is a traitor in our eye-greedy Bastard) Sean had some class about reacting to it..."well..umm...we could take off the number and put a money sign." So many players I could have picked...so many ways to have won his heart over...and I pick the ONE...the only...A-Rod! At least we have a new dust rag for cleaning!!! Sean is awesome...he sees the humor in every situation.
Just a quick list of things I will be blogging on: Chanterelle, Miss Tila, marriage, poor Gabby, party, waiting and wanting to give birth, Mr. James P., Why does Sean believe in Vampires???, and my dear friend Jen w. (this will be good)-I will be comparing her to a cartoon character

I must Digress

What a sad night Monday was. I feel asleep during the 3rd inning-but I didn't miss very much. Tragically I think the Red Sox are the clear choice to win the series now.
Enough said on that-
I miss being involved in a theatrical production. This time last year Esther and I were scrambling to learn lines and run in high heels around the set of "Sorry Wrong Chimney". Such fun memories. Sean and I started dating during this production too. We enjoyed playing husband and wife soo much that we decided to give it a go in our real life.
Enough said on that-
My last day of work before I go on maternity leave is the 19th. It can't get here fast enough.
My last statement for the evening is this- I ordered my Min Pin a dog shirt that said, "No bones about it- Hillary '08". It's a little small and she yelled as I tried to put the darn thing on her. Sean must have been right. She is an Obama dog.

yankees look strong

Much like the proverbial Phoenix rising from the Ashes, The Yankees Kill Bill tour looks like it will last another day. I wouldn't want to put the bats away before the final pitch but you have to be happy for Phil Hughes and Joba et al. Matsui and Clemens are hurt obviously but since there is no crying in baseball they go forth.

We Have a chance at world series tickets if the Yankees can put it together and get some wins and we would love to cheer the Bombers on in person. Honestly I really feel like if the Yankees can get it done with Cleveland they won't be stopped. My condolences to the Cubbies , i guess we as Yankee fans shouldn't complain that we haven't one the world series recently, I mean the last time the Cubs won electricity was a new thing. Anyways i digress go Yankees!
The team from the city that suffers from jealousy of the Big Apple finished off the California , i mean Anaheim , i mean well the Angels . I think that the biggest and most spectacular way for them to choke would suit the baseball Gods just fine. One year the Gods fell asleep , i mean eithier that or the Sox sucked for 90 years you pick. : ) I needed 1 jab - Go Yankees!!!

Blahh

I don't want to be a live today ( I mean this sarcastically, even though I probably shouldn't say something so negative). I woke up feeling pretty sick...I couldn't catch my breath and I couldn't hold anything down (I am in week 34 of my pregnancy). We found out that a close family friend of Sean's passed away suddenly and my heart is going out to those involved. Why does it always seem that when a person is having a rough time...things just think they can keep getting worse.
On a more light hearted note...I am sad about the Yankees. It is as if a plague of locus descended on them. I really don't have any further comments for now...let's just see what unfolds tonight at home and go from there (or tragically end it there).
My online poker slump has finally ended. In the early part of my pregnancy when I didn't feel like doing very much...I discovered FullTilt poker. I used to be very good. 1st place out of 969... Consistent final tables. But in the past month I had lost my focus...I'd start a game and then my ADHD that I was never tested nor treated for as a child would come through. I'd start thinking about a million other things that I should be doing and I'd play some stupid hands...and there went my play money fortune. I'm finally back! After my bout with nausea this morning...I finished 2nd in a tournament. I fully realize this is a waste of life...but when you become less mobile...it is a great way to keep your brain sharp.

Haters & Questioners

Sean w/baby gear Ginger sporting her hat
Why must everyone quesiton a girl who knows a little bit about baseball. Is it soo absurd that I spend 5 nights a week (at least) watching baseball. I have no other tv life other than the Yankees. It is also a little known fact that I have quite the extensive Jose Canseco baseball card collection.

My unborn son already has a few Yankees uniforms.

Yes, it's true that Sean has influenced me some on the extensiveness of my own baseball addiction. BUT...I was raised by a woman who at the tender age of 7 beat a small boy up over a Mickey Mantle card. My roots are deep in pin stripes.

Don't question my love of the Bronx Bombers!

Now lets breakdown the playoff races as i see them so far. Josh Beckett looked pretty unbeatable last night, but Boston can't pitch him every game. I'm sure the Halo's will take their chances with Matsuzaka , (what exactly is this gyro pitch anyways?) Outside of Papelbon , The Bo-sox pen looks pretty hittable. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ( If that's not the stupidest name I don't know what is) have to score early to have any chance tonight.

Who are these Colorado Rockies and how are they doing what they are doing? The Snakes have an interesting blend of young talent and the goat curse of the Cubbies, ( Sean took out a book on the history of the Cubs this summer and I read the whole thing cover to cover on the sly). ( Sean was quite impressed when i was able to pontificate on Cap Anson, Ernie Banks and Ryne Sandberg.) Now comes the pinstripers and the Indians. ( Did you know that they used to be called the Spiders?) A-Rod will be in the center of the baseball universe as he always is, and i predict that he will have a Reggie Jackson like performance. The captain is always clutch and Jorge continues to impress me. Andy Pettitte will be able to deliver his usual October brillance.

When it is all said it done, look for the party in the boogie down and the 27th banner being hung right around Halloween.

Sean's obsession with Halloween is another topic for another day, so until then i will sign off!

I'm soo gangsta

Last week was our schools homecoming. For our Pep Rally we had a dance off. Before I released my kids to go to this event I inquired about what kind of dance off we were having. They informed me that it would be to Soulja Boys new song. I accidently got all excited and exclamed that I knew the dance. (Since Sean works at a University I get to stay intouch with what's "hip".) Anywho...they wanted me to do the dance for them. I got nervous. A white, pregnant woman doing a hip hop dance for a class full of high school kids. That might be letting my gaurd down too much...not to mention losing respect for the rest fo the year. I managed to play the prego/not feeling so well today card for that class period...but they didn't forget on Tuesday. My class persisted that I do the dance for them. So a bargain was struck...if work got done (everything)...if everyone was on their BEST behavior...and so on...then I would do the dance right after the final announcements for the day. Usually the bell rings to end school before the announcements are over...my plan was fail proof. Right? Wrong. The kids were excellent...perfect angels with inquiring minds...the announcements ended with over 2 minutes left. Oh God...I had to dance for them. Tragically this event was captured on my camera video thing...I left my connector cord at school though...but I shall upload it for a few days...just to prove to the world that white, pregnant women CANNOT dance!

My very first blog

I have never been a blogger and I question if I shall be keeping up with this for very long. For tonight I would just like to introduce my fabulous dog to the world!

Ginger is a 10 year old Min-Pin whom Sean & I rescued in May from a shelter. She had been there for quite some time. We try to go to the beach and walk in the evenings...that's one of her favorite things to do. She is totally a Dune Dawg!

She is already jealous of the idea of baby Bodhi joining our family and in protest has begun peeing on our rugs. Fortunately for her...he charming looks...small demeanor...and old age make it hard to get too angry with her.

I did it! My first Blog!
