A rough start to the week

On Sunday Nadine Shrader passed away. That is my mom's mom. She was 89 years old. I'm taking it a lot harder than I thought I would.
On a lighter note...Bodhi went and took pictures on the beach with August. As we were leaving a bird pooped on Bodhi's head. LOL Bodhi thought it was so funny until we got back to the car and I was trying to clean him up. I think he was mainly upset because he didn't want to leave.
On Sunday Harlow attended the 11th annual Burrough's and Chapin art show with me. The picture above is her admiring a work of art!

Great weekend so far.

March 23rd was Relay for Life at CCU. I have to admit that I was very apprehensive of how I would be emotionally. There was definitely a huge part of me missing there (my mom), but I was glad I got out there and walked and donated to a cause that is so much a part of my life. It's been a little more than 3 months since my mom passed away from breast cancer.
So at Relay Bodhi had a blast. He did the long jump on the track, the rope swing, the tail end of the pie eating contest, and the jumpy inflatables. Mario and Derek came out and played with him and then swept him away back to our house to have a blast. Bodhi was still up playing when we got home at midnight.
Harlow didn't go to Relay...she spent the night with her best friend, Abigail. They spent the night reading on a kindle and doing their nails. Samantha said they didn't go to bed until 10:30.
Saturday was so much fun...and chaotic. By 11am the scene was Bodhi and David Sturdy riding the 4 wheeler around the house, Harlow and Abigail playing tee ball and then Genvieve toddling around where ever she can. They ate 15 cutie oranges and and a blast. I loved getting to see Steph for a few minutes. Who knew...17 does run north.
The NCAA tourney was exciting. My father cane over and we cooked out in the rain...our burgers were a little pink. Sean was soaked. UofL won and Syracuse lost. Sean is..well....I'm avoiding him right now...LOL.

The whole crew!

Syracuse game tonight

Abigail is such a good model!
Harlow's current "say cheese" face could use some work...LOL
My little Syracuse FAN!
Bodhi playing silly games.

Everyone was preparing for the sweet 16 Syracuse game tonight. Abigail had to go home around 7 for her Michigan St. game.
Earlier in the evening my dad and I took the kids to Osaka or the "jelly" place according to Bodhi. After we got home Harlow demanded her tinkerbell snacks, peanuts and milk. She ate a nice dinner at Osaka but you would never know it.

A recent trip to Charleston

Grandpa & Harlow feeding the rays.
Hannah helping Harlow
Me & my girl in a giant tree.
Harlow and Grandpa checking out some strange frogs.
Two birds of a feather.
When my dad, Harlow and I went down to Charleston in Feb. we were able to hook up with Hannah for Dinner at Basil and stroll down the street for fabulous cupcakes. On Sunday Hannah volunteers at the aquarium so she got us in and behind the scenes. These are some of the pictures from our trip. I love you Hannah!

A fun weekend!

What a great weekend. But before the weekend even started the kids had a great Friday at school. For St. Patty's day they had green grits, apple sauce, and milk.
Bodhi and his best friend, Maddox, went to the Dunes hotel and did the water slides. Bodhi did the giant one all by himself. Harlow stayed home with the guys (sean, kenny, ken) and watched the Syracuse game...they one! So Sunday rolled around and we took the kids fishing up by the playground. Abigail was the only one to catch anything and that was a turtle. Then Bodhi and I went out to AC Moore to buy a picture frame and came home with a 4 wheeler for Bodhi from Toys r Us. OMG he loves it and had so much fun!

Getting started bloggin again

When we moved into our new house Harlow got an instant BFF! Our new neighbor is only 2 weeks younger than Harlow. Ever since I watched the girls one night and we watched The Wizard of Oz, Abigail has been obsessed with it. So this past Wednesday Samantha and I put on a Wizard of Oz dinner party for the girl (Bodhi hung out too). Abigail dressed as Dorthy and Harlow was the wicked witch. They ate totos in a blanket (lol), yellow brick road pizza (not sure they really ate the yellow pepper on hummus and pita), fries like the straw in the scarecrow, and oranges (i forget how they fit into the theme.) It was very cute.
